How do I control e-mail notifications, and what do these icons mean? email icon email icon
Registered members who are logged-in will see one of the two icons above, and a button to turn on or off e-mail notifications for a particular topic. Clicking the button to the right of the icon will turn on or off e-mail notifications for this topic. The first icon indicates e-mail notifications are on for the topic being viewed, and the second indicates that notifications are off. Additionally, you can control e-mails generated when new topics are created through the My Profile link in the upper right corner of every page.

How do I become a Member?
Simply click the "Become a Member" link in navigation panel at the upper right of the page. Fill in the form, choosing carefully your Member ID and Post Names. These will be your registered Post Names and are the only ones that may be used when you post a message.

Why do I have to join?
You only have to become a Member to post messages. This helps eliminate problems with anonymous postings, and helps to keep people accountable. It also makes it easier for other Members to search the archivals by name, adding to the site's value.

How do the Post Names work?
You may use any of your Post Names when you write a message. The Search function of the site will allow Members to search for you by Post Name; this search will display your real name and e-mail address.

What if I don't want my real name shown?
Simple, don't register. But you will not be allowed to post.

Can I register with a fake name?
No. Each new registration is forwarded to the webmaster. Anybody registering using obviously falsified information will be banned.

I forgot my password, now what?
Use this page to have your password mailed to you: Forgot.

What are Icons?
These are little symbols that you can attach to your message. This page shows all of them: Icons. Here is an example of the icon named "Smile": smiley

Use this form to report an objectionable post: Suggestions and Abuse. Copy and paste the URL of the message in to the Comment area of the form, and also please indicate the poster's name, and your specific objection to the post. We will take appropriate action in accordance with our Terms of Use.
